Stradic ci4 2500F - Service and Question

Featured Replies

Hello

Looking at buying a Stradic CI4 2500F. I know it is an older reel but I wanted to see if anyone has any thoughts on the reel, pros, cons , what you think one is worth in decent shape.

Also I planned on sending it into Shimano for servicing. Not sure if that is a thing or not.

Any advice is appreciated. Only note is that seller says the spool has a tiny bit of wobble

Thank you

Depends on the price, Pro is light weight and a work horse but new material “ci4+“ FA and FB is better plus MGL rotor on FB is way smoother than older model. Spool on my CI4 2500 F also wobble a little bit since this model don’t have spool bearing support, I guess.

I saw the FA and FB price at around 150-180 for a good used one.

Good info thanks. He wanted 160 for it but I was hesitant. I didn't think jt was worth over 140 given the wobble and the age.

If you want to spend that much, you might wanna try Daiwa Tatula LT. It is head to head better than my old ci4.
