6th Sense Crush in black magic!

Featured Replies

I'm upstate at our timeshare fishing a nice size pond on the property and I noticed the water is very dirty like chocolate due to rain. I was trying alot of black and blue bait's like a chatterbait, senko and even a jig and pig and nothing. Once I tied on the 6th Sense Crush in black magic it was on good fishing!

I’m a fan of black in those situations also. Never fished the black 6th Sense. Black Bandits is what I use.

Thumbs up for 6th. Sense square bills.  I have had great luck with them this year, including these two, my biggest for the year so far.  I don't have a black one, but the rainy season is here, the water is getting muddy, and the Bait Monkey read your post.  I guess I will have to buy a couple.

I'm a big fan of 6th sense, except their new Vega frog. That thing has been horrible. Lots of bites, but I'm at about a 15-20% landing ratio on it. The really weird part is how many fish are throwing the frog, not just missing the hookset but actually tossing the bait during the fight.

That black magic is a hit or miss color for me. It's either on fire, or they won't touch it.

I've caught a mess of bass on the Black Magic with 8' of visibility. They'd probably never seen a black SB on our clear lake because it'd never work.?

Yeah I went with the black magic just because the conditions were right we had mix clouds and muddy waters. Then I switched it up and  tied on a kvd 1.5 in oyster and caught a few on that so go figure ?.

That oyster has gotten me a few fish is season also. Started throwing it last year some. Not fishing it in a squarebill but in XD’s. Great natural color. What’s not to like about it.

Yeah it's a great natural color. I was switching from gizzard shad to oyster and they preferred the oyster colored one instead.

Of the gizzard shads the blue gizzard is my most productive. At least of the SK patterns. But the green and oyster and a few of the sexys I make no hesitation to tie them on.

I’m not into the real image looking crankbaits. I will not do well with them. I tried. Have a real mental block about them. (Story for another day)

The finish and patterns to the SK crankbaits looks cheap and tacky. I hope the do not change a thing because they flat out catch fish.
