Drop shot flies

Featured Replies

Anyone tried drop shotting flies?  I tied some flies on a 1/0 and #1 octopus hook with some marabou and flash-a-bou.  Wonder how these would work instead of a regular soft plastic.  Hair never stops moving in the water, very natural.

My soft plastics always move also, plus they feel a bit more natural. But yeah, try it, you'll catch some.

I've used that method fishing for suspended Steelhead before.

Often though about tying a crappie jig or fly about a jig but have yet to do so.

I'm sure they will catch fish in the right conditions.

I have tied more than i actually used this year. But theyre time is nearing again
