The fall transition is here.  The days are getting shorter, the night time temps are down and the water temps have finally gotten back to the mid 80's.  The big girls are moving towards the flats and are on the outside lines.  We scrounged up a couple over 7 lbs last weekend on chatterbaits and swim jigs.  Not big numbers yet but the Kissimmee bite is about to be ON!

 

 

 

 

I live south of PALATKA a few miles buy the St Johns, and I’ve noticed the temps changing too.

It's about time.  Last summer was a hot one.  Here on the Harris Chain, we are starting to see more fish shallow as well.  Boat traffic is minimal so far.  This is my favorite time of the year as I have the lakes mostly to myself.   Since they are leaving some hydrilla, the water has cleared and the numbers of bass has increased.  

Stick marsh and Headwaters are starting to see big girls moving towards the shallows also.this is the best time to be on the water.take that back, ANYTIME is the best time to be on the water......
