Hi guys, i read a lot on here but this is my first post.  I bought a new HB 998 and the quad beam transducer.  I have it installed and everything seems to be operating.  I feel like the transducer is in the proper location because when the boat is planed out, it will read the depth fine.  When i slow down and look at the si, the picture seems to be fuzzy.  Is there anyplace i can read about the initial setup?  Also when i select quad beam for the transducer, it shows the si in switch fire...?? Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks

the yahoo groups is monitored by two reps from Humming bird.  They can tell ya how to tweak it out right.

You have to have the SI transducer selected.  If you set it to quadrabeam it won't work correctly.  So, do you have 2 transducers mounted on your boat then.  The SI transducer and the QB.  The QB does work off of 455 khz like the SI transducer so it could 'work' but not correctly.
