Black and silver spinning reel

Featured Replies

I'm having a custom rod built that is going to be black. Guides are black with polished inserts, reel seat is a standard Fuji with chrome colored whatever those things are called, polished chromish winding check.

I would like to find a spinning reel to match. Primarily black with chrome/silver accents. I would like a size 2000. Do you have one that comes to mind? I have looked but not really finding one in that size. TIA and tight lines!

I got four of ones that are silver with black accents...kinda reverse, but could look neat that way. Course they're not being made anymore and probably a bit under what you're expecting...but they are pretty darn good reels.

Penn pursuit, or Daiwa tatula lt

here's a Shimano Vanquish C2000S - JDM only,

magnesium frame, titanium bail; parts matching and hand-tuning in Japan.

It's the lowest-inertia spinning reel made.  No crank start resistance, and the mechanism does not push your hand when you stop.

I can't find any of the Penns in a 2000 size in that color. 2500, maybe it's not that much bigger

2500 is out of stock but maybe you can find it elsewhere

I have an ITX, it's a very nice reel.

Shimano Stradic FL silver with black in lieu of black with silver.

I really like the look of the Penn Pursuit IV. Not sure I'm a big fan of the handle. Is that a part that can be switched out? Or are there too many variations such as threads, length of the screw, etc?

I honestly don't know much about them, but I would be surprised if you couldn't find something. I would just get the tatula before I bought custom parts for a pursuit, but that's just me. I tend to cheap-out on spinning reels. I'm currently using a couple of kastking zephyr (these also meet your needs cosmetically), but will upgrade to tatulas eventually.

Not quite responsive to the original query, but the black and gold Twin Power reel is a pretty good option.  A bit spendy but cheaper than a Stella and almost as good.

Here's my Twin Power 3000MHG with Yumeya spare spool installed (Exsense color) and Livre (Union) handle + balancer/hook-keeper.

If you stick with Shimano and Daiwa, good aftermarket parts will let you make your reel custom, and look however you choose

I’m looking forward to seeing the final results as I’m a sucker for color matched rods & reels.

Does anyone know how the size of the Penn reels run? For example my size 30 Presidents run closer to a 20.
