Ok so I got a local guy who is selling a 797C2 SI for 500$ or a 798SI threw strech pay with BPS for a 1000$. Do you guys think the 798 is worth the extra cash? I notice off the bat the 798 has a higher res at 640x640 vs 640x480 and it has slots for two memory cards.

    Do a Google search for the 798. I did in Dec. 2009 and found one for $840, no tax, and free shipping.

    I chose the 798ci SI because of the internal GPS antenna. The external antenna model is 798c SI.

    Both units display with the same sharpness, but the 798 has a wider screen.

    Both have the same functions with updated free software.

    The 797's memory is maxed out.  They may not be able to fit another cool upgrade into.  They had to do some backflips to get the downscan upgrade to fit in the 797.  I bought the 798c SI and it is fantastic!
