Maybe you can coach the Orioles in Birdland?

I can officially update this thread. I met with the superintendent this week and everything was approved by the board for me to take over coaching duties. I will be the head JH softball coach and the Asst HS coach. Here was the main hold up with the board. Since I would be taking over these duties, I would be out of the classroom for 3 hours a day. Essentially, the school is going to have to hire another teacher to take over those classes and teach a couple extra. This was a big deal since I had said I would not coach basketball. So now they have to find a coach for that as well. That being said, they agreed to all the terms I had laid out and even agreed to raise my salary over what I was offered from the other school. I met with the HS coach yesterday and got my keys, schedules, etc. and I look forward to the challenge. 

 

My girls get to stay home and so do I, a win - win in my opinion.
