As you all know, I'm a sucker for a new popper bait. I love fishing them. I couldn't wait to get a couple of these poppers as they have a flash boost that makes the insides shimmer at rest. I've watch a few videos and was impressed with what I saw. So, I ordered a couple and got them in just now. I tested one out in my pool and color me impressed. Of course, catching a fisherman is often much easier than catching a fish! But, I'm confident that this shimmer at rest will be an enticing morsel that bass can't resist. 

 

I plan to utilize mine in the very near future and will report back on my success. Anyone else a sucker and bought one of these yet?

 

Sucker number 2 right here. I plan on grabbing a couple. 

I'm a recovering popaholic, dialing my sponsor as we speak. Darn you and the monkey!

Will probably pick up a couple next time I see them in stock and a sale is going on.  Hard to spend $20 on a popper.

 

I like the new world minnow though, but it doesn't hunt like the Stunna's or Visions.

Mine should be here early next week, I'm a sucker for poppers too. All of these Shimano World baits look really good.

Do you think the Jet Boost does anything for the casting?  Are you going to run out and buy anymore?  

I fish Ricos and they're about the same $ so yeah I'll be getting some. Plus being Shimano it'll match up nicely with my Aldebaran and Zodias.

The Jet Boost does make it cast better. I have found the same to be true with their new jerk bait. I also like Rico’s, but I find myself with the World Pop tied on most the time now. It works great as a popper and is easy to walk.

It weighs in at 3/8 oz and is shaped like a missile. My Tatula Elite will send this bait into low orbit! I can cast it much further than I need to to effectively work it. 

Has anyone who have tried this noticed an increase of bites on the pause?  When I have seen this series of lures, that is what comes to mind.  I envision casting it and working it once or twice followed by long pauses in the strike zone to allow the flash boost to draw them in close if not close the deal maybe.

I've not had a chance to fish it yet. Hoping to get out this week to my favorite honey hole to see how they react to it. I'm in your camp. I intend to pop it a couple of times and then give it a few seconds pause. This oughta be fun.

Sometimes that is the ticket with poppers, other top waters, and wake baits. Haven't fished the World Popper (just about every other popper in the world, yes), so can't say specifically on it. 

I got to use my World Pop this morning. The topwater bite wasn't the deal, but I did catch a couple on it. And the largest one did smoke it on the pause...mission accomplished. He short struck it first and I gave it a pause. He spun around and hit it like he meant it the second go around. 

 

I am confident this bait will be a key item in my popper selections this fall. 

 

Oh yeah, it casts like a bullet. I can launch this thing into low orbit. Not sure if the Jet Boost has anything to do with it or not, but I can ever more get some distance. Also, it will walk like a champ. So best of both worlds as far as popper/walker goes. It doesn't pop as aggressively as some of my other options; more of a subtle pop. It does ride a bit low in the water which is a good thing since it allows more "Flash Boost" to work under the surface. So combining the walking along with the pauses it definitely is a keeper in my book.

I definitely want to pick up a couple!!! I love top water fishing and leave it to Shimano to come out with a (I hate to use this phrase because it's so over-used but here I go) game changer lure. Everything I've read about this Flash Boost people seem to rave about it, the true test will be if it really IS something different that gives you even the slightest of edges then there will be about 12 different copy-cat baits with something similar next season .
