krisjack69
I caught this nice bass on a original yellow and white chatterbait back on May 31st. I had a storm at the time in the area and the winds was whitecaping the pond. I don't own a boat so I only fish from the bank. So I switched it up and threw a chatterbait and a couple of cast later I caught him. Pulled well jumped once dug down in the open water. Not sure how much he weighed but if I had to guess 3 to 4 lbs. I used a swimming fluke-style bait. Forget which one it was think it was the caffeine swimming shad. I threw it back so he still in there somewhere. Anyways that's it. Have a great night!

Super User Bird Posted January 13 Super User Share Posted January 13 That is a great fish, congratulations. I've never caught a single fish on a chatterbait, yet can throw a Spinnerbait behind them and nail them. Idk
Super User BrianMDTX Posted January 17 Super User Share Posted January 17 What a timely thread, as I just caught my first chatterbait bass this morning. Here’s the thing, though. It hit it as soon as it hit the water. I’ve also only caught two bass on jigs that also hit them as soon as the bait hit the water. Happy I caught them, but I feel kinda cheated lol.
Koz
Winter is a great time to lift and drop with a chatterbait.
