Big Swimbait
I was throwing red rattletraps on T-Bend in the 80's during Winter and early Spring. They weren't as prevalent as they are now so we would have art class at night with a red Marks-a-Lot coloring traps.
Super User WRB Posted March 9 Super User Share Posted March 9 Red baits are crawdad baits and bass eat crawdads year around. Spring 2023 is March 20 to June 21, crawdads will be on the menu. Tom

JHTR20
I have never had any luck on red baits. I've tried and have a box full of red cranks. It must be the bait right? This next one will be the one. I fish on a body of water that is tannic in the spring and maybe that is the reason why.
