If i had a down imaging transducer mounted on the transom of a boat would it cause interference with a second transducer on the transom.  I have a 522 fishfinder/gps mounted on the transom and was thinking about buying a seperate down imaging only unit and mounting the transducer on the transom also.

If you get a Lowrance DSI unit, no it will not cross talk with your 522.

If you get a Humminbird DI unit, it will cross talk with your 522 since it has 2D sonar as well as DI.
