rod repair

Featured Replies

well this happend about 2 months ago and i have been meaning to fix it---- I had just got back from table rock lake and had the boat in the garage with all my rods under the cover...well stupid me , i was going to go bank fishing on this small lake so i just wanted to grab my one rod...well i was too lazy and i just lifted up the really tight cover...i had my pole in my hand and all of a sudden..."SNAP!!" the tip had got cought on the cover some how. So my question is : Does any one know a little rod repair kit that i could buy...or if any body had one that was want to sell it...Thanks

Craig

You can find rod repair kits at most of the major stores like Bass Pro Shops, Cabela's, Sportsman's Warehouse, etc...........I think you can also find them at Wally World................

It all depends where the rod snapped. If it is at the tip you just need to buy a rod tip repair kit. If its anywhere near the 1st,2nd,3rd guides then I dont believe there is hope in repairing it. If you do the blank will be no where near as strong as it used to be, so there would be almost no point to spend the money to try and repair it if its more toward the butt.

Oh my mistake i just read it snapped at the tip ;), in that case its easily fixable. :)
