Tried a new lake over in Iowa yesterday morning...lots of boats in deeper water...thought they were jigging for walleye. Turns out this lake had a really good population of crappie and bluegills.

 

This guy's set up caught my eye...Ranger 522VX with two screens right in front. He was holding over brush-piles and dropping a small jig on a 9' rod.

 

 

Nice fellow, gave me some good advice (this was my first trip to this lake). Later in the morning he picked up wife and grand-kid, put up his Bimini top, and was showing the little one where to jig.

 

Pretty cool! But not the way I prefer to fish.

Kind of reminds me of when I am playing Call of Duty at home.  The only difference is that he's outside. 😎

I love bobbers, banks, dont like electronics in my face. Last week a woman was fishing next to us, all the while she was watching a movie on her cell phone, she caught 0 fish.

You think thats weird, Imagine how that guy felt seeing an adult male take a photo of him fishing.
