Fenwick 7'5" Heavy Flip/Pitch World Class Question

Featured Replies

Good Morning!

Curious, can't find much at all on these rods out there, I would like to get a new slop rod for Froggin, tossin jigs and whatnot here in Michigan, maybe fish for Pike occasionally with it. Kind of a do it all heavy cover type rod.

For whatever reason been looking really hard at the Fenwick World Class 7'5" Fast/Heavy Flip/Pitch Rod.

Anyone use this rod, or any of the flipping/pitching models? Good/Bad experience with them?

I read online that these rods are more powerful than their ratings? Saw a couple folks state that one medium heavy power model is more like an extra heavy. That being said, there is very very minimal info out there on these rods and no idea on the credibility of these things I read so thought maybe I would ask here. :)

Anyone that has any experience with these rods, your thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

My suggestion:

Fast/heavy/or XH rod can  fit Pitch/Lip function.   If you want to buy a Pitch/Lip Fenwick rod and are worried about its high power, you can only choose the 75H-FC because it is the smallest Pitch/Lip model in terms of power. Fenwick's HEAVEY/Fast model is indeed much stiffer than other Bottom Contact Jig MH/H/XH X-Fast  rods.  I know ABU Veritas' C76-7 Fast/Heavy which will be launch in sep is suitable for Flipping and will have much softer tip than FENWICK's 75H-FC, which should be what you want. I am manufacturer and  familiar with these rod blanks.

I don't have that model but I do have a '24 world class, It's a fine rod , I don't think they have sold nearly as well as pure fishing had hoped but there's no denying the pedigree.
