Anyone familiar with this rod and what are you using it for mainly?   Also what other techniques does it excel at aside from skipping docks?

I have never fished that model but have held it comparing it side by side with the 7’4” H in the mojo bass line, previous generation. My impression was that the dock sniper was lighter in hand and a bit lighter in power. Another guy in my club does use the dock sniper in LTB as his primary jig rod. He has the mojo also and said both fish very similar. He fishes a lot of weedlines with big jigs and braid. The other guy I fish with uses the Mojo bass model with 15lb fluorocarbon fishing a 1/8oz bitsy bug jig, yes 1/8oz. He catches a lot of fish and good ones but I notice that his cast is more of a lob than anything.

I fish it primarily as a frog rod, occasionally for buzzbaits .  Fishing from a kayak, it's nice to have a shorter option to help walk the dog and not be slapping the water surface with the rod tip.

 

I also have the 74HF, and typically use that for swim jigs in heavy cover.

Nice.  I was thinking of getting it for a shorter frog rod fishing from shore.   Plus buzzbaits and toads.   Wonder if it would make a good 6” magdradt rod.
