Since I use shakey primarily as a finesse presentation, my weights are 1/8, 3/16 and 1/4.

I mostly use 1/4 and once in awhile 3/8.  My favorite rig is my Dredge Shaky head 1/4 with a Rage Menace.  Normaly GP purple gold.

Normally a 1/4 but when fishing deep brush or with stronger winds I will switch to 3/8

I fish it a lot.  Right now smallmouth are from 2-6’ deep where I fish so I am rigging light (1/16 and 3/32).  I carry 1/16, 3/32, 1/8, 5/32, 3/16, and 1/4.  Slight changes can really make a difference if you are attuned.  Wind can really affect what I use.

1/8, 3/16, and 1/4oz are the 3 I use but I could probably get away with just 3/16.

3/16 4/0 owner shakey ultrahead for me...I typically use a 1/8oz for a ned but typically throw a shakey head in specific spots where the water can get deeper and that's the best setup I've found...

3/16 is my primary. I also have 1/8 and 1/4 on standby just in case. I've caught fish on them all. I only use 1/4 in wind so I can feel it, or when I think a quick fall rate will trigger them.

I go heavy, 3/8oz.  as I rarely fish a shakey head in water under 15ft. When I move it, it's with an upward sweep and reel that will move it 3-5ft., let it sit and let it sit some more. On occasion, like when I'm looking for a change in bottom composition, I'll drag it, but more often than not, I'm using a football jig for that.

I really just use 1/8 oz, I don't find myself fishing very deep often, and with shakey heads I'm usually in 6-12'. D&L make some good shakey heads and paired with a zoom finesse worm, that combo is so much fun on a spinning rod

1/16th, 1/8th, and 3/16th... coincidencently those are also the same size ned, hover rig, and finesse swimbait head sizes I use as well.

1/16th = super shallow, calm water. Also the best size for skipping

1/8 = the "do all size"...great shallow when there's a little wind, and great out to 10-12 feet If it's not too windy

3/16 = deep grass line, or rock pile size. Also is  my preferred size for slowly dragging a worm around as it ensures bottom contact better than 1/8th in water over 10 feet deep.
