Thanks. Some things I had not thought about. I never heard of coconut water drinks before.

Granola bars and water.  About four hours into fishing I'll start to get hungry.

What about eating a banana while bank fishing? Of no consequence?

Don’t slip on the peel😎

Protein bars.... Gatorade....Jerky... jalapeno flavored....like the flavor.......of course water......stay hydrated my friends.....

2 packs of blueberry belVita, 2 tuna sandwiches and at least 3 bottles of water and 1 or 2 frozen waters in my cooler.

Trips are usually 6 hrs on the water paddle'in my kayak.

Sometimes eat a sandwich on the way home which is 45 min to a hr.

NOS sugar free or Red Bull sugar free drink on the way to the ramp. My cooler has low sugar Chocolate Peanut Caramel Pure Protein bars and 6 bottles of water. I usually drink only one or two bottles out on the lake, then chug 2 or 3 on the way home.

Occasionally I'll bring a sandwich, but I usually want something quick and filling to eat so I can get back to fishing.

Thanks everyone for sharing. Interesting what everyone chooses, and lots of things to try.

Keebler cheese/peanut butter crackers, little convenience store bags of peanuts. Then stopping for an ice cream cone on the way home. That’s what grandpa always got me, and I’ve never seen a reason to change.

I try to keep 1-2 granola or protein bars in the boat plus a small bag or two of beef jerky.  All of those are long life items and sealed in case they get wet.  Then on any given day I'll make a thermos of powdered ice tea mix or similar and maybe grab something on the way out the door like a banana that I can eat on the way for an evening trip.  Morning trips require a big mug of coffee.  And sometimes maybe a thermos also depending on the temperature that day.  I'm not big on eating on the water and I'm usually good for a 5 hour trip without it.  But every now and then your feel the heat set in or you feel your concentration waning.  That's when I sit for a break and grab a quick snack.

Yellow Gatorade and Grizzly Green.

2 bottles of water and a pack of nabs always. If longer than 5 hrs and I brought a cooler, I'll bring a turkey sandwich and additional drinks. I like the premade sandwich from the cooler at food lion. Also frozen purple seedless grapes are great in summer. In the winter I'll bring a protein bar and coffee, but they melt too fast in the summer.

I like gatorade bottle as well. When it's empty it's a perfect urinal.

I'm on a kayak, pedal drive burns less than paddling probably but still a lot over 4-6 hours so I have to refuel or start feeling pretty hungry. On a boat with motor I consume about half as much food and am totally fine.

In the summer I always hydrate well before getting to the launch as well. If you start dehydrated this time of year you can get in trouble fast and can't really fix the deficit while fishing and sweating, so I like an electrolyte drink and additional water totaling 35-50oz prior to launching in the summer. Last year I was very close to heat exhaustion or something, so I've been much more intentional ever since that episode.

I prefer a special concoction made with

Eye of newt, and toe of frog,
Wool of bat, and tongue of dog,
Adder's fork, and blind-worm's sting,
Lizard's leg, and owlet's wing,—
For a charm of powerful trouble,
Like a hell-broth boil and bubble.
Double, double toil and trouble;
Fire burn, and caldron bubble.

Recipe complements of Billy S.

Best stay up wind though  . . . . .

I eat before I leave and then when I get home.  Don't really bring any food with.  If I do, it's a piece of fruit or a granola bar.

I always have my 30 ounce yeti with black coffee and water with.

That soft serve cone always felt like the perfect ending to a day on the lake!

I usually start out with a banana on the ride out. Always always enough coffee for the entire day…or night. A P&J sandwich for a short snack break. About it for me.
