I'm looking at the Powell "Max" Series rods. I have some Powell flyfishing rods and like them a lot. I talked to one of the pros on the BASS women's tour who uses the Powell "Max" series rods and likes them so far.

I would like more input as while Powell has been in fly rods for 90 plus years, Powell is new to bass rods.

I have the 704C casting rod and the 702ML spinning rod. I absolutely LOVE these rods. I have had them for a few months. The casting rod id my go to for jigs/soft plastics and the spinning rod is a pleasure to drop shot with. I have no complaints whatsoever and nothing but praise for these rods. I use a a 682C extra fast and like it very much. Powell also offers a strong warranty. Very good all around rods. The component quality is very good in terms of guides and reel seat etc.

I bought a Powell 683c last year and like fourbizzle, I love this rod.  For the price, you can't beat its sensitivity.
