Sinking line...

Featured Replies

Alright so I fish a couple ponds and the fish seem to be spooked by my line dragging across the top of the water when I'm working a lure. I normally fish unweighted plastics so there's nothing to really pull the line down so it stays up on the surface.

The question is what kind of line sinks the best? I've thought of trying braid, but I'm not sure. Right now I'm using Stren Original.

Thanks

Braid floats and is probably the most visible of all lines.

Try Stren Sinking Braid.  I've been using it for a while now on one of my medium spinning outfits.  I love it.  It is FAR more manageable than flurocarbon.   It's less expensive than regular braid.   I do use a fluoro leader.
