I plan on getting 2 different setups...one for t-rigs, c-rigs and jigs and the other for spinnerbaits. I'm really not sure what gear ratios and type of rods to use with these baits.

Right now i'm using a shimano baitcaster (6:2:1 gear ratio) and a 6'6 medium - fast rod. This setup seems to work best with buzzbaits and crankbaits.

What would you all recommend?

for t-rigs, c-rigs and jigs

6'6" to 7' MHF to HF rod, reel 6.2:1 upto 7.1:1

with spinnerbaits and buzzbaits

6'6" to 7' MF rod, reel 6.1:1

crankbaits

6'6" to 7' Med to MedHvy Mod tip rod, reel 4.8:1 upto 5.8:1
