Some ommisions in new BPS Catalog

Featured Replies

Hey Fellas: I noticed that there are no BPS Pro Quailfier Baitcasting  Reels or Pflueger Trion Baitcasters in the new catalog. The Trion is in the new Cabelas and still listed on the Pflueger Site. I wonder if The Pro Qualifier is going away?

I'm thinking the Cetina's are going to be replacing the Trion's. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Purist fade away too. Three reels between $80 and $100 seems to be overkill. Then again, it could be just a case of BPS streamlining what they sell, and they are choosing not to sell so many reels in a price range that competes with their house brand reels.

trions are all on clearance at dicks too so i bet they are gone.

not a big lose

the trion was every bit as good as a curado and at a better price.

Yeh I really like my Trion. Wait until muddy sees what you said mktrout uh oh! :)

we've been through mk's pflueger bashing before.funny thing is he's never used the products.

I emailed Pflueger, The Trion is  Still in the Line up  , they replied yesterday I did not check the mailbox I used. I am glad for that as they have served me well!

It was pointed out that sometimes the BASS Spring  BPS catalog carries a different variety of reels then their master catalog does. It would be a shame for their Pro Qualifer to dissapear, I have had good experience with them also 8-)

Just noticed that the Pro Qualifier BC reel is still listed on BPS web site BUT it says "sale" alongside it which would tend to make a person believe it is going to be gone soon. No sign of the Trion though.

Noticed that BPS has upgraded the Pro Qual rods this year so maybe the reel will come along later in a "new and improved" model.

The pro qualifier baitcaster was upgraded last year.....I have a couple and think its a very nice reel at the price point....It would be a good deal on sale for anyone in that price range.
