Daiwa Exceler Baitcaster?

Featured Replies

Does anyone know anything or have any experience with this reel? I stopped by the local tackle shop to pick up my repaired BCR803 and the guy showed me these reels. He was selling them for $60. I mounted one on the Loomis and it felt really nice. I have absolutely no experience with Daiwa products and only this week bought a reel other than Abu Garcia.

My take is:

If it 's brand spankin new model I wait for at least 6 months before I even consider jumping on the wagon. Speacially when it comes to lower end.

Been roasted in the past with the newest before, won 't make the same mistake again, even if it 's only 60 dollars.

I think that I would wait too.

Your are dealing with the very lower end of an already crowded line....

I have that reel in spinning and despited using it only in 1 season on salt water, I'm very satisfied.

Thanks guys, I was only asking if anyone knew about them. They felt and looked really good for the price. But alas I bought a Revo SX today.
