New Cableas Master Catalog, better than the new BPS

Featured Replies

Hey Fellas: I know both will publish BASS catalogs in a little bit but on the basis of thier Spring Master Catalogs, as far as RODS AND REELS GO: Cabelas upstaged em big time. They have a few new great hosue rods, and have some rods and reels not in the BPS catalog or on thier sites

Okumas,Pflueger(Patriarch) , Fenwick World Class, Shimano's both rods and reels same for Diawa and Cabelas has the The whole All Star line up and those Carrot sticks

To be fair BPS has a much better lure selection in theirs

I thought the same thing when I received both catalogs.  Cabelas has the new G Loomis Swimbait rods, which I was surprised to see (since I didn't see them in the Bass Pros catalog)

I don't have the Cabela's one so I can only guess. I have noticed that BPS and Cabela's don't alway's stock the same items. Cabela's never offered the Fuego, but did offer the Sol. BPS offers both. I still have not seen Loomis Crankbait rods on the Cabela's site. For some reason, I thought they were on their site awhile back though.

Cabela's has always offered the Feugo and Sol, though for this year they did drop the Sol.

I can't remember ever seeing the Fuego online, but they did have the Sol. The Sol went on sale to $199 for a little while not too long ago, now it's not online either.

I have seen the Fuego there myself, both on line and in the Hamburg PA store.

I'm sure they have them in the stores, I think I might have even looked at them awhile back, but they are not online, and I have not gotten a catalog to look at either. When I was looking at getting either the Fuego or Sol as my first higher end baitcaster, they didn't have the Fuego online. I wanted to know if the deal S W was having on them was a Daiwa deal, or store deal. No place had them marked down much besides S W. Right after I bought my Sol, Cabela's put the Sol on sale online, but the Fuego was still not to be found online. Now neither of them are online. I have found in the past year and a half or so, Cabela's runs a lot of online sales that are not found in the stores. If you have the salesperson look it up online while your in the store, they will honor that price at the store though. I think Cabela's is really trying to push their online sales, like BPS seems to do.

Hey PF neither are in this years catalog either, You want me to ask the salesmen whats up with that when i go there Sunday?

Within the last two weeks I saw the Fuego bc reel online @ Cabela's in the bargain cave.  It was $199.  I don't think they are still there though.

I already bought all of them I wanted. I just thought it was strange they didn't have them online, and S W was discounting them while no one else is. Odd they come out with matching spinning reels, but the casting reels seem to be fading away.

You are correct, and they are still there, but not on the main reel page like the Sol was.

I wish they would drop them down a bit more.  After seeing the TD-Z for $199, it's kinda tuff to purchase a Fuego at the same price.  Compared, it's like a $150 savings to a $30 savings.

Wow this new cabelas catalog is awsome they have so many rods and reels to chose from, they have the new cumara, e21, new loomis swim bait rods and much more, only thing there lure selection is never as good as bass pro shops :'(.
