i just bought a pflueger echelon reel and an allstar fast med rod is this a quality reel and rod i paid $90 at SA thanks. :-?

as a matter of fact has anyone had any experience with pflueger good or bad i would like to know if i should return this one and get an abu garcia or any other brands that someone should recommend...

the only pflueger i have is one made by them for bass pro shops which BPS sells as the 'prolite finesse'. lemme tell ya, i love that little reel...it has a very different feel to it than all my other reels and really smooth and casts very well. i don't know anything about the echelon but pflueger does make quality products. abu garcia, like any company, has hits and misses...it's not the brand so much as the design and construction of the individual reel that matters.

My uncle has a phleuger president that he likes very much and fishes with 3-4 times per week. Personally, I do not have any experience with this brand. If you are  thinking about a garcia I love my SX and STX.
