Anyone ever been snagged on a log, rock, etc and done the "snapping your line" trick and actually had it work??

If you mean where you shoot it like a bow then only occasionally does it work. My fishing guide in Georgia was really good at it though but I think he had heavier line.

No. Every time ive tried it it either got me more snagged, or i noticed no difference. I usually just pull different directions and that works well enough.

Yes on rocks most of the time, no on snagged branches and trees.

I actually have great results from the line popping technique.  I would say I am good for about 50-60% of the time in most types of cover.  The key is getting the right amount of slack when it pops and then have it reload before its all done.  (Sounded clearer in my mind)
