I used some 6 lb. test yo-zuri hybrid ultra soft last summer, and liked it a lot. Now I'm seriously considering buying it in a couple of different lb-tests for both casting and spinning gear, but I have a couple of questions for those of you who use this stuff

1. How does the softness of the line handle on baitcasting gear?

2. The yo zuri website has a chart that says that the lb test rating on the package is lower than its actual strength (for example it says it's 12 lb line is actually 19.5 lb test). Do any of you have experience with their low pound test line being extremely strong?

3. What lb test would you recommend for fishing around grass, sparse lilly pads, shallow wood, all-around tidal potomac river type fishing?

I know roadwarrior recommends the 12lb for casting gear

Yo-Zuri Hybrid.  One of RW's endorsements I wholeheartedly agree with.  

I tried Hybrid in 12# test and thought that it was pretty thick and unmanageable...is this because the 12# is much thicker than it's rating? Should I have moved down to 10#?

And I was throwing it on Revo SX.

I liked the #6 when I used it on my spinning rod, but I thought the #12 was very wiry and unmanageable on my casting gear.

Of course, if you spray it with KVD Line & Lure the night before, it's perfectly manageable.

The fat one was just over 7 lbs, the other was about 4" longer,

but just a pound heavier. This is my PB and was caught below
