What is a good pole to buy to go along with my Pfluger President spinning reel I got for Xmas? I'm looking in the $50 or so range.

I do a lot of smallmouth creek fishing and hopefully a lot more largemouth fishing this summer. Thanks for the advice.

    If you're near a Gander Mountain, their private brand is worth looking at. I'm very pleased with mine, which cost $60.

    I have owned 2 BPS bionic blade rods. One spinning, one casting. I have been very pleased with them and they are always on sale.

    look for a berkley lightning rod shock series, i love 'em, they have a split grip and are super comfy.
