Compre 6'10 MH X-Fast

Featured Replies

If you had to have this rod in your arsenal, what would you use it for? Let's also say that you carry only 4 rods so it may have to pull double duty.

Texas Rigs & light Jigs in sparse to medium cover   :)

You got a great light pitching/flipping setup. I really like 6' 10" rods for skipping baits under docks.  Other good techniques are texas rigs, jigs, spinnerbait, crankbait.

That MH compre will handle any 'feel' bait in your arsenal.  Jigs/T-rigs/C-rigs/frogs/etc.  The Compres are nice, and probably don't get talked about as much as the Mojo's because they don't sport a contemporary, split-grip design.

Brakes come on too soon on your baitcaster? Sorry, just a little confused.

I have used mine for frogs and it worked fine ,except in real heavy cover I feel the brakes come on to soon for top water stuff JMHO

I believe he was trying to say that when he said that the brakes come on too soon is that the rod loads to fast when setting the hook on a fish, thus pulling the bait away from the fish.
