Top is OK.

Secrets are:

1.  Keep line tight while spooling.

2.  Run line through KVD Lure and Line Conditioner via wet spot on a wash cloth, held with thumb and forefinger.

3.  Spray line on spool while spooling with KVD Line and Lure Conditioner as you are spooling.

4.  Use a Berkley Portable Line Spooling Station in the future. It is worth the investment.

As for top or bottom, your preference with a baitcaster.  :o
