Is this possibile? What would I use to do this?

If the blank is CLEAR WITH NO PAINT wet sand 400 - 1000 to get the nick out then use U40 PERMAGLOSS for the finish coat, apply 2-6 coats wet sand 1500-2000 and buff out, will look like new, if your blank is painted, match paint and do the same as above. GOOD LUCK

Well the rods in question are an Avid and a Mojo bass....Do you know if these blanks are painted?.... The scratches are not major, just mostly from crank bait hooks....

I'm guessing this must be around the hook holder your rod has on it?

I wouldn't worry about them then.Unless they scratched the blank you should be OK.I've heard of somebody putting clear nail polish gloss to fill in the light scratch.I wouldn't recommend doing that though.

From now on just cut your lure off after you are done.I don't use those hook holders for storing lure that do have them on the rod.

oh yeah I always cut the lure off my good rods... The lure was on my browning in the rod locker and got caught on my avid....  Yeah its only deep on my Mojo up towards the upper half and the scratch goes form one guide half way to the other. It is more of a scrape than a scratch...And there is also a nic exposing the thread around the eye....

The key is making sure that rods in transit and or storage don't have lures on them that can scratch or nick blank finishes.

The Mojo use a Gloss Black Pearl finish and the Avid uses Carbon Pearl finish I don't think you can reproduce them either.

I would contact St.Croix for warranty info on the rods.

I wouldn't worry about the marks if they are only superficial, and don't break any of the blanks graphite fibers...

Yep once again I agree with Reel Mech consider them battle scars gives the rod character, but if you just must hard as nails clear nail polish clear coat will do the trick if the scratch has really scratched through the clearcoat of the rod you will want to lightly and I mean lightly wet sand it with a very light emory cloth or finishing paper before evenly coating it with the polish and you can use it directly on the threads of the eye to re coat.

Yeah I don't want to void the warranty, I will have to check out their site...

Disagree 100%, that will void any warranty on those rods..

Sally Hansen | Hard as Nails, isn't water proof or flexible.

St. Croix uses Flex Coat HB on their rods and I don't know to many clear coats that will adhere to it unless you do know how to make a water break free areas...

I personally don't worry about nicks in my custom builds on St.Croix blanks unless the scratch/nick has broken the blanks fibers....

The broken fibers would also have to be in a heavily flexed are of the rod.
