Bass Pro Shops Micro Lite Graphite Spinning Rods

Featured Replies

I noticed Bass Pro Shops Micro Lite Graphite Spinning Rods are on sale. Are they a good rod?

I have one my brother in law gave me over 15 years ago that I use for blue gills and other pan fish. I even used it for trout before I started fly-fishing. It is a pretty good little rod for the price. I am not sure what the newer ones are like.

I just bought one of these rods about 3 weeks ago. I got 6'6" 2 pc. I used the rod for trout fishing. I like the rod, but after catching a 23" rainbow, I wish I would have gone with a ML instead of the L. Other than that I think that the rod will make agreat bream or crappie rod. FYI also got the TD-Pro 1500 series (BPS exclusive) and when mounted on this rod the balance point was right at the end of the cork handle. Hope this helps.

One of my favorite inexpensive rods is the Micro-Lite 7' Med/Light 2 piece spinning rod. For small stream Smallmouths that rarely go over a pound, or for Rock Bass it's perfect. Great for Crappie, too.

Like was said, the ones that are rated as 'Light" are light action. The float'n'fly rods are good deals, too.

iirc , mrlitetackle has a few and loves them.

im sure he will chime in once he sees this.
