trying to break down the revo stx. i can not for the life of me remeber how to remove the brake sideplate.

At first I was thinking the same thing....I assume you forgot to unscrew the thumb screw on the handle side?

you know, getting the sideplate to rotate up is harder than it should be it seams like. finally i just told myself im either breaking something or the bad boys coming apart.........

Put a little bearing oil on a Q-tip, and swab both sides of the bayonet mount

no. i couldnt remember if the plate rotated up or down. at first it wouldnt move either way.

My bps extrem did that, until I loosened the spool adjustment knob..then it rotated easily..
