Do any of you have experience with the ABU Record reel? I am reading mixed reviews about this reel. THANKS

    I like the round reels. I have a Record 50 on a Platinum Allstar MXF that I use for Jiggin spoons, jigs and lighter CR's. It works real well, heavy but super smooth. Grew up with round reels, so I've always enjoyed them. That Record will outlast me by a long shot. LOL

    the Abu round reels are a great baitcaster. the only problem ive ever had was not knowing how the mag brake goes back together. the perfect first baitcaster IMO.

    Own a record for my Snook/Tarpon rod and it is one tough, long casting reel.  Haven't had any issues at all and have owned it since Records first came out.
