I bought a St. Croix Mojo Bass rod, anybody own one? How do you like it. I like mine so far, lightweight, fast tip, heavy action rod.

How is that cheap??  That's a $100 rod.  My version of cheap is $14.97 at Walmart. 

I have yet to ever try one fishing but looking at them in the stores I think they are a bit tip heavy.  Some others think this as well.  Otherwise I've heard they are good rods and they seem to be well made. 

i think alot of people would be better off with , in my opinion, the best sub $100.00 rod out there wich is the Okuma evx-a !! has excellent components -alps zichronium guides , FUJI ACS reel seat , IM-8 blank , split grips , and a lifetime warranty !!! and the rod only costs $90.00 with that being said , the MOJO rods have out dated guides that i could never find myself wanting , sorry , just MY opinion ... BTW , i am NOT sponsored in ANY way by Okuma .. i like St.Criox rods alot , gonna buy one or two of their blanks soon to make some sick swimbait rods . just think that St.Croix could of used better guides and charged a couple of dollars more if they had too ......

I'm of the opinion that the Mojo is aleady overpriced. It's built in the same factory and on the same blank as the $70 Triumph, but has less than 1/2 the cork. Where does the extra $30 come from?

Maybe purple paint is more expensive than black? 

I really like them in fact I have 5 of them they balance nicely with a reel on them cast a mile and are very sensitive can't tell very much difference in weight if any between my plastics rod which is a 7' med action to my buddies loomis mossyback and as far as the blank goes it's also the same one used in the premier line as well

I just love luckycraft, nicer end reels and nicer end rods. I only buy them if I can afford them at the time. I like quality equipment, and if one day I start making good money I will move from the decent stuff to the absolute best. I'm a bit of a collector too, so I really can't stand cheap crap from walmart.

I love the weight of it. I used it today at the pond on my campus just tossing an RC 1.5 and slayed it, just to get some action out of it. So far I'm impressed. Yesterday I fished it in the canals here and it was great. Had a blast, and let all my buddies use it and they liked it for the most part. I might have to get another.
