does anyone know how to stop the whisky noise on the acs cast control.  seems like the weights are rubbing against the beveled ring.  is this normal. 

It seems like all the old quantums are noisy.  I had an e750pt that was noisy on the cast.  It was something that I got used to.  If you ever watch an older video of KVD fishing either a blue tour or older energy, you almost always hear it.  As far as I know it's just that way.

someone on here told me that you could polish the bezel that the brakes ride on.

Polishing the brake surface will get the most out of the system but I'm not sure what it would do for the noise you hear. If you decide to try it, be sure to just polish and not remove material.
