im getting a new rod but am not sure which one to get either a lamiglas excel or a wright and mcgill skeet reese rod just not sure heard good things about both but am stuck on which one this will be a spinnerbait and plastics rod

My buddy Torsten (tor329 on here) bought the Skeet 7' Spinnerbait/Worm rod, and while i never actually fished it, it felt extremely soft when i held it. It might be good for lighter spinnerbaits but I don't think I would use it for throwing plastics (except maybe weightless plastics). It almost seemed more like a crankbait rod to me. I am interested to hear about the Excel though because I am seriously considering ordering one from TW. Thanks for the post.

I would say excel...the plastics W&M is good for cranks but the are all too soft IMO

check out denali jadewood series rods they are very light and sensitive for the same price range they have a spinner bait rod that is great.

Like Broc said, I've got the spinnerbait/worm W&M rod and I'm not a fan of it at all. It is very soft, and I've had a lot of fish come off on this rod. IMO it is too soft and doesn't have a lot of power. I can't say anything about the Lamiglass, but as far the W&M goes I'd steer away from it. Hope this helps.

I say excel as well if only because I don't have glasses dark enough to protect my eyes from that yellow. ;D

Excel. My fishing partner has a few of them and I have to admit there much better then I thought they would be in that price range. Actions and feel are very similar to the Certified Pro Blanks, although I don;t think the rumors are true that they are Certified Pro Blanks, but pretty dang close IMO.

I doubted it myself, but I was at a local outdoors show and the Lamiglas rep told me the excel line used the certified pro blank.  If I had heard it from someone else, I would have called BS. I sure hope he wasn't pulling my leg. If I get the chance, I'll call them tomorrow. Yeah, I have them on my speed dial and they're only 2 hours from me.  8-)

I have the spinnerbait/worm rod and although I'd probably fish a spinnerbait with it, IMO it's definitely a bit on the soft side for plastics.  I use mine for cranking.
