Daiwa MegaForce Rods

Featured Replies

Does anybody here own one of these rods? I haven't gotten to get mine out on the water, but i know not too much about graphite rods. I bought my first graphite rod this year and it ended up snapping under the strain of a huge pickerel (no lie) because the drag on my walmart reel (strapped for money this year) kept skipping. Is it as sensitive as other rod materials? It's a two piece. I also have a question about 2 piece rod design. Most of the rods i've owned have the top half sliding into the bottom half, but this one has the top half sliding over the bottom half, is there an advantage to this? Is this rod a decent rod? It's a medium light, i like mediums, but have kind of taken to a light rod i've been stuck with for the past month. It has cork grips and the same guide inserts that my shimano rod had, and i love them.
