Okuma Guide Select Casting Rod

Featured Replies

These look like some pretty nice rods. IM8 graphite, etc. Anyone using these? How do they compare to other rods in their class?

I have the 7'11" H GS for swimbaits, I also have a Dobyn's 807 Mag, which retails for about twice the price. The Dobyn's has better action, and is lighter, and a tad more sensitive, but I think for the $$$ the Okuma is a great deal. Overall finish is good, guides are pretty nice, ect. Again a good rod for the $$$.

I also have a C3 Concept from Okuma.

I have a 7' M I use for topwater poppers and cranks. Its pretty soft compared to my other M rods and makes a great cranking rod. Has plenty of backbone as well. I have landed some good size redfish on this rod also.
