I just got my veritas spinning rod in. i have a question, I mounted my spinning reel on the rod, but there is a gap in between the rod and the foot of the reel,should it be like that or is something wrong here.

That's the way it should be.

Ok thanks,just looked strange to me, all the other spinning combos i have they all sit flush.

yeah thats the way they are.  that is actually my favorite of all my veritas.  i got the 7' M and i love that rod
