I am still pretty new to fishing, but learning everyday! Anyways, I just got a great deal on a new rod/reel but I don't know what to use it for or what to spool it with.

I got a St. Croix Avid 7'6" MH Mod Fast, paired with an new Revo-STX.

What would you use this set-up for? I probably should have figured this out first, but it was too good of a deal to pass up and I figured I just learn something new with it. The ice should be gone in about a week and I can't wait to try something on this, so how would you set this up? Thanks in advance.
