Welcome aboard!

We have a few Texans that will give you some suggestions when they see this thread. If you have your sights set on a couple of lakes in particular, several guys have fished it! Post that on here when you narrow it down a little.

yes, you will have to travel alittle. Just due north of you 40 miles southeast of lubbock by Post is lake Alan Henry a sharelunker lake. Also southeast of mid/od is lake Amistad not sure of exact mileage but within 200miles. also around san angelo is several lakes. hope this helps.

Wow, I had to look it up to find Odessa.  You're way out there.  Most of the good bass lakes are in East, Central, and Southern Texas.

Head East on Highway 20, Lake fork is only a little over 400 miles away.  :(

Welcome to Texas!  Its freakin huge, but the fishing is good.

What are you doing in Odessa?    I was born in Odessa, lived out west of Odessa for a few years.

I always mentioned to my navy buddies, the only thing in West Texas was tumble weeds, oil, and the Permain Panthers.    Tradition isn't what it was back in the 60-80's when Permain was threat to go all the way.

Amistad is worth the travel.   San Angelo is hour and 45 minutes, you have a few lakes there, and OH Ivey is another hour from there.   Great lakes in AH, Ivey and Amistad for Sharelunker bass.

I'm just west of Lake Fork, if you make that trip, I'd be glad to show you around or mark your map for ya.
