Manocacy River, MD at rt 77

Featured Replies

First time out to the Monocacy River today for a couple hours and wow what a pretty piece of country.  Went with a friend who is more of a trout fisherman.  The smallmouth's were eating well as the two I caught were full bellied and red eyed.  Caught them on a green riverside tube.  My first real experience river fishing and I'll be using less expensive jig heads next time.  The set hard a few times on some rocks and that can get expensive really fast.  It's tough to tell what is a scrappy little smallmouth and a what is a rock in fast moving water.  Hopefully it's nice out again tomorrow  8-)
