I am going to fish Lake Weiss for LM and Spotted bass this weekend. I have never fished the lake. Can anyone give me any tips on how to fish this lake this time of the year?

I fished Lake Weiss last Saturday, I caught several fish throwing Texas rigged lizards( watermelon red, green pumpkin), this was by fishing rip rap, be prepared to break off on rocks.

the water was very stained and muddy, I would take a firetiger or chartreuse crank bait as well.

If you have never fished the lake before be sure to stay in the channel markers as you move, very shallow water.

by the way junebug is a good color also.

Thank you for the advice guys.  I will use it.

It was a fun trip.  We caught quite a few bass.  I see what one of you meant by a shallow lake.  The scenery was awesome and it is a good thing that I was warned about breaking off on the rocks.  Thanks for all of the advice guys.
