Lake Gaston?

Featured Replies

Hello! I'm going to Lake Gaston the first weekend of June for deaf fishing club tourney. I have never been to Gaston before. Any help, tips, websites, or reports would be a big help. I just bought a Lake Gaston map to start off with. Thanks in advance! :)

I'm heading down there tomorrow to my step-sister/BIL's house.  My step-BIL says he always sees bass boats in the cove where his house is.  So I guess it's a good area.  It's not deep at all, there is hydrilla (at least there was last summer) and on one side there is a pretty big patch of lily pads.

I haven't had much luck there.  The only bass I've caught was just as we were leaving his dock to go fish elsewhere.

Sent a PM.

Look it over with your GMCO map and let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks for your big help Sam! ;D

I really look forward going to Lake Gaston next weekend. Any more help for fishing Gaston would be nice. Thanks in advance.

My usual pattern had been topwater in the morning over stumps.  Then I skipp docks....The farther you get it up under the dock usually the better...We fish Pea Hill most of the time...

Good Luck

Just sent ya another PM. Also thought of something since. Not sure if the marina at Eaton Ferry is open again or not. You can find gas at Stonehouse Timber Lodge and also at Washburn's in Pea Hill Creek.
