The Wife and I are going to be at a relatives between Christmas and New Years in Belle Isle and plan to try the Conway Chain again; didn't do to well last time.  Anybody have any advice on how to fish that chain?  What do the fish tend to do during weather changes?  Any particular lake the best?

    One of my buddies & I fished The Conway chain today.

    Water 57* - Clear

    Sky Overcast

    Wind NNW 5-15

    Air Temp never got over 50*

    Fished from 9 am - 4pm

    got about 10 fish between the 2 of us, big fis 3 1/2 lbs.

    could not get a pattern going. We caught fish on Spinner baits, Traps, flukes and X-raps.

    The fish were schooling but not bustin' on top to speak of. We fished the first & second lakes. put in at the Hoffner ramp.
