crazy stuff! thanks for the link.

WOW, And here I am fussin about the snow.

Yeah it was pretty bad here in Missouri. Even up here in the St. Louis area. Countless fields were flooded, subdivision lakes were flooded. Crazy stuff.

Makes you just stop and think.  What blessing we have, and how in an instant they can be thrown upside down.  Thanks for the posts, those pictures made a big impact on me and my day.  God Bless all who are affected by these rains, and floods.

Scary.  Are you still fairly safe were you are at?

I'm completely safe where I'm at.  I live in the flat, farming ground. My area is known as the "sunken land" though.  It used to flood pretty bad, (like--put the whole town under water) about 50 years ago before they established a spillway, dams and a levee.  The water has never reached the levee in my lifetime, and even if it did, I'm about 5 miles from it, so I'm relatively safe.

About 30 miles NW of me starts the "hill country" of the Ozarks.  This area has a twisting river system that drains the whole area and is very prone to floods.

However, we do have a hunting cabin in Ravenden, AR--which is very near to the Spring River.  My father and I are heading up there Tuesday to check everything out.

My dad and I are...  NOT Me and my dad is..

I thought I'd point that out for Long Mike since I believe he is still on his fishing trip.

Kudos to you.  The other way actually makes it easier for me to read.  LOL.....
