The Arizona Cardinals have beaten the Carolina Panthers 33-14 to advance to the first NFC Championship in franchise history. Did anyone else see this coming?

I guess I should start taking them seriously.  That makes two weeks now where I almost put Fitzgerald on my fantasy team, but didn't because I didn't think they would be able to do much.

Luckily I had Warner though, he was good for 15 or 16 points today.

Meanwhile, Steve Smith and DeAngelo Williams were good for nothing!

It's no surprise at all.  The NFC West is highly underrated.  It's a munch more competitive division than the cross-conference numbers indicate.  As long as the east coast divisions don't give it any respect, they'll continue to be "surprised".  I think the myth is propagated by TV commentators continually calling it "the weakest division" (who ever pays attention to commentators anyway?).

Surprised?  Only to those who aren't paying attention.  ::)

The wow factor also applies that a regular season 9-7 team (Cards) and a 8-8 team, (Chargers) could play each other in the Superbowl.

I can see it ending up Steelers vs Eagles in the Superbowl.

If it ends up being the Cards and Chargers in the SB.

It would be the least watched SB in history. Who would

watch in the East?

Nope.  That's why I'm not a bettin' man.  :)

Would've loved to have seen SD and AZ in the big game.  Oh well.  There's still hope with AZ.  If not, as long as it's anyone BUT the Steelers, I'll watch anyway.  The Steelers in the Superbowl are about as exciting as seeing the Yankees in yet another world series (unless of course you're a Yankee or Steeler fan).
