I have seen Red's post about hybrids so I know there is atleast one on the board.

I do a lot of hybrid fishing and have a fantastic spinner that is made locally that I throw. Most of the fish I catch are 3-12 pounds. However, I am now looking for just that one bite! I want a 20 pounder...The world Record is out of my lake and a few 20 pounders are caught every year.

Anyway, i am starting to throw some large swimbaits and I want to know who has used them and what works for you.

hybrids as in striper hybrids? those things are crazy, i fish regular stripers though

yeah man...i like those hybrid stripes.  One of the lakes that i fish regularly is a power plant cooling lake that they do really well in.  The power company actually just donated 50,000 fingerlings because the numbers were starting to dwindle, so another few years and its gonna be AWN!(again!)  

edit:  oh yeah...we've been real successful trolling w\ fat free fingerlings and fat free shads in citrus shad, white, or white w\ purple or grey back.

I have found the hybrids and can catch a lot of them right now on that Gerald's inline spinner BUT I am going to start throwing some bigger swimbaits. Like the YUM Sweat Cheaks 5.5" version. They aren't that long but they are very bulky and have good action.

I dont care if I get skunked, I am going to fish all summer for that 20lber. More realistically a 15-18 but hoping for the big gal. She is in there!

nice...how big? Most of the hybrids I catch are schooling in 30-60'.

It was 9lbs. I don't have a boat it was caught shorefishing.
