First time night fishin for catfish

Featured Replies

Buddy and I are having a huge fish fry in September.  So far in the freezer we have 15 Walleye, 135 Blue Gills, and now this 1 channel cat.  We'll be heading out again on Monday night to go for some more cats.  This is my first time night fishing for catfish, and my first catfish all together.  Perfect eater size.

just some good 'ol chicken liver.  we got a new spot for monday night, hoping to catch some more

find some road kill and tie it to an overhanging limb out over the water. flies will go lay eggs on the dead whatever and when they hatch the maggots will fall into the water and you will have an instant catfish hole in a couple days. good luck... if you dont do that fish outside bends in rivers and rocky shorelines in lakes cause they like to hole up in the rocks
